I’m glad she becomes friends with Dinah but I wish she would of worked things out with Amanda and her other friends. Not than Winnie is obsessing about it, since she’s living in the now and has a whole bunch High-School list before freshman year rolls around. In between, Winnie realizes that she is drifting away from her best friend, Amanda, and actually has more in common with nerdy Dinah.

I read this book when I was like 10 and it got me into reading. I have recommended this book to a very nice young sixth grader who I interact with in a volunteering role that I have and, after I explained the conflict of the first book, she was hooked. The main character Winnie has to go though drama, picking Friends, and talk about guys. Also in The Winnie Years. She’s even mentioned it once or twice in passing. Wish they had this series for grandmas Winnie overcomes challenges and really gets a taste of what it’s like to be a ‘pre-teen’.

This book is great! Winnie is an entertaining protagonist, and it is a pleasure to be inside of her head for incredibly well-written pages. Tom Ellen and Lucy Ivison. She loved the book.

She loved the book. I would reccomend it to girls who are ages 11 and myracel. I gave this book to my granddaughter for her 11th birthday and she loved it.
