The spirit of Man is eternal. I had fond memories of this book from reading at a much younger age. So i could only read it a few pages at a time. It was sad in a way to think about this beautiful culture based on spirituality being harmed in any way.

Most of the chapters were fun to read, and two or three were kind of dull. I loved this book more than I know. Learned a bit about buddhism and tibet through the read.
There’s quite a mash-up of religious and spiritual beliefs going on. I don’t think my review is any good. I read this book as a teenager and i thought it was great. Even worse, Rampa hijacks a position of highest authority, that of an incarnated master, who is superior even to the Dalai Lama in terms of psychic ability. Jul 28, Azimah Othman rated it really liked it.
We all incorporate fiction in our narratives to make them more colorful and exciting, and usually there is no harm involved. The writing is captivating and well done, effectively drawing the reader into this dream-like world, after first reading about a humble Tibetan family in a very non-assuming life, until the Tibetan lamas monks show up at their oj. May 28, Liza Rosas rated it really liked it. This constricting net of conceptions is our prison. It is important that we afford tercet attention to the narratives of the people who live through this suffering and not to frauds who seek personal gain out of fictitious accounts.
Rampa makes his stories lobang colorful on account of the culture of a people who live under an occupational regime, many of whom are forced to flee to foreign lands with no permit to return to their place of origin.
I want read it? As it is a wonderful book to read to understand a mysterious country, its geographical knowledge, sceneries, culture, customs, religion and this cute, smart and compassionate lama’s life from 7 years old to adulthood before he left Tibet.

The critics can say what they want, but rzmpa book is one that has been around since the ‘s, opened the Western world to the then-totally alien culture of Tibet, and opened my eyes to a beautiful peace-loving people that has stayed with me my entire life since reading this book.

Overall, much of the occult and paranormal events are glossed over – of course. I finished off dad’s collection in no time!
