Every modification of the approved type shall be notified to the Type Approval Authority which approved the type.

All necessary steps shall be taken to re-establish the conformity of production. The competent authorities issuing the approval may verify at cee time the methods applied in each production unit.
In every inspection, the records of tests and production monitoring shall be communicated to the visiting inspector. The inspector may select at random the samples to be tested in the manufacturer’s dce. The minimum number of samples may be determined on the basis of the results of the manufacturer’s own checks.
When the quality standard does not seem satisfactory or when it seems necessary to verify the validity of the tests conducted under Paragraph 9.
The Type Approval Authorities may carry out all the tests prescribed in this Regulation. As from the official date of entry into force of Supplement 4 to the 01 series of amendments to Regulation No. Contracting Parties applying this Regulation shall not refuse to grant extensions of type approvals for vehicle types which have been issued according to this Regulation in any of its versions.
Contracting Parties applying this Regulation may continue to grant type approvals to those types of vehicles which comply with the requirements of this Regulation in any of its versions, provided that the vehicles are approved or are intended to be approved to any series of amendments preceding the 07 series of amendments to Regulation No.
