I just wish Jaz could have a break. This series is a guilty pleasure of mine. I’m not a slow reader. Orbit; Original edition October 29, Language: It’s that discombobulated mind that causes most of my irritation with the series. I don’t know if it was the lack of a proper villain, or that some of the excitement has gone out of the books now that finally Jaz and Vayl have given in to the sizzling sexual tension between them and become and item, but this book did not entertain and amuse me as much as some of the others have.
Jaz and crew are assigned to a mission in which some gnomes are trying to take out the Australian based NASA complex.

The cat brought such great comic relief and Jack’s interaction with the dog was just funny!! Her talents and her presence will be missed. I thought all that crap with him chasing Jaz was over with in the last book but no, he’s still trying to win her away from Vayl.
Even though she doesn’t NEED him to because she’s strong in her own right? I suppose I could say that Jaz and Vayl have another mission and all hell breaks loose on this one, just like on all the others. I was so happy to see Cassandra and Bergman again that it was like welcoming old friends back for a visit. Share your thoughts with other customers.

The books contain witty banter, sexual tension, gadged-filled undercover missions and action-packed set pieces. Wait, none of those things. The last radrin wrapped a lot of things up, so to continue this series this book consisted of several changes.
I kept having to re-read sentences markss they didn’t make sense, didn’t flow right, or there were pieces left out. Then in the second half of the book a lot of time was spend dealing with Jaz’s demon possession problems. Jaz and Vayl’s relationship is still growing and there are some trust issues on Jaz’s part. That being said everything was nicely tied together in the end.
How cool would that be? Dark Heart of Magic. Once again, we’re faced with a maddening internal dialogue, as anthropomorphized aspects of Jaz’s personality battle an invading influence. Between Cole’s kangaroo issues and Jaz’s conversations with the “crew” her head, I can’t count how many times I burst out laughing.
