While the story was engaging in some parts, most times it fell short of being interesting. Amelia Sedley wants to marry her darling George and live happily ever after.

Emma is a sweet, but plain girl, bookish and quiet, living a happy life with her mother and step-father. It doesn’t take long to see through Lisette’s evil ways. One thing that left me feeling unsatisfied about this book, however, is tha Alex Flinn certainly did a good job of retelling some of the classic fairy tales we grew up with.

The story starts out with how Kendra became a witch and in between little short stories of other fairy tales she had a hand in pop up. As that story progresses, Kendra breaks in with her thoughts about what is going on and brings up other tales she has been a part of. That one turned out alright.

After the end of her backstory, we skip ahead to modern day, with Emma telling the story. How in the movies the bad guy is always ugly but in books the villian is portrayed as beautiful. This story is okay, but I just didn’t feel like it measured up to Beastly, or a Kiss in Time, or Alrx.
Kendra, for the most part is a quiet observer to Emma’s pain, only offering bits of advice. It was well thought out. Alex Flinn certainly did a good job of retelling some of the classic fairy tales we grew up with. There are mentions of drinking, allusions to sex but mostly stuff that kids see on television today. It is called Diva. But Emma is happy to accept her.

The main story surrounds two sisters who resemble a “Cinderella” story. From Beastly to A Kiss in Timeeach of her book kept me engrossed in pages, Bewitching was no exception.
I probably shouldn’t get involved, but her gorgeous bewitcging is conniving to the core. Right now, I live half a mile away from my old middle school, in Palmetto Bay, a suburb of Miami, with my husband, daughters, dogs, and cats.
I mean, what the heck – he just popped up! Most of the time the books aren’t that good, but I can’t seem to stop myself from snatching up the next one I see in the high hopes that this one will be better.
That really made me angry because of the message it’s sending out to people. What if the fairy tales we all grew up on got it wrong? Would you like to tell us about a lower price? After I came back from the dead immortal, remember? If you remember Beastly that was written by this author, then you also remember the witch that was involved in that book named Kendra. This romance had some potential… and that potential was tossed out the window followed by a gun down of a dozen Uzis so that the plots structure and the romance in the story felt weak and riddled with holes.
That was also when I learned to be a keen observer. It soon becomes evident that bewitchinv is more to the step-sister than Emma thought. She is a manipulative, coniving little brat and i spent the whole story wishing something bad would soon happen to her. It’s supposed to be a retelling of the little mermaid. She tries to help a spoiled prince find his princess, she had a hard time due to fllnn snobbish and ignorant mother quizzing all the princesses.
I also like the spin-off of different fairy tales such as Cinderella, Little Mermaid and Hansel and Gretel. Flinn, I love you!
Like when I tried to free some children from a gingerbread house and ended up being hanged. By high school, I’d made some friends and gotten involved in various “gifted and talented” performing arts programs. Charlie and her end up killing the witch by throwing her in the oven to burn. I didn’t really care for the Prince story though he is such a mama’s boy, I liked the princess and the pea though, I liked that she is so sure of who she is and doesn’t care what other people think, she can’t marry a prince that can’t stand to his own mother.
